We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Family Mobility Coach to join our team. This role is designed for someone with a passion for empowering families in their pursuit of economic stability and personal growth. The ideal candidate will work directly with families to help them navigate resources, set and achieve goals, and enhance their overall mobility and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Goal Setting*
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each family's strengths, challenges, and aspirations.
- Collaborate with families to establish individualized mobility goals and action plans.
Coaching and Support:
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to families, offering guidance on best practices for navigating social services, education, employment, and housing.
- Assist families in developing essential life skills, including financial literacy, job readiness, and problem-solving.
Resource Navigation:
- Identify and connect families with community resources, programs, and services that align with their goals.
- Stay informed about local resources, social services, and opportunities for families to enhance their mobility.
Advocacy:
- Serve as an advocate for families, helping them navigate complex systems and overcome barriers.
- Empower families to voice their needs and priorities in community discussions and service delivery.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track family progress in relation to established goals and adjust coaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of family interactions, progress, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other professionals, organizations, and community stakeholders to create a supportive network for families.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience working with families in a coaching, mentoring, or case management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of community resources, social services, and programs that support family mobility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with diverse families.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using technology and software for documentation and communication purposes.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or other languages) are a plus.
