The Human Resources and Office Manager is accountable for a variety of responsibilities, which includes: Day-to-day coordination of office activities; overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function; and works closely with the executive leadership team on projects, tasks, and staff issues as needed/required. 

Performance Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Manages, oversees, and develops various human resource policies, processes, plans, programs and procedures for all CFI employees.
  • Develops, monitors and oversees the employee evaluation/performance appraisal process.
  • In collaboration with the CEO and CSO, conducts recruitment efforts for staff; administers pre-employment tests as needed; conducts reference checks, new-employee orientation and onboarding; develops and posts job advertisements.
  • Responsible for employee relations and conflict management; reviews and recommends disciplinary actions as required; and conducts exit interviews.
  • Assesses training and development needs; assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Participates in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment.
  • Assists CEO and CSO with day-to-day activities and goals, as directed. 
  • Responsible for general office projects and assignments supporting one individual, a group, or a department.
  • Implements processes and supports programs and events.
  • Schedules and sets up meeting as needed, attends, participates, and takes minutes for meetings as required/directed; composes and distributes minutes as appropriate.  
  • Welcomes and greets on-site visitors, determines the nature of business; and announces visitors to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and/or Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), as appropriate.
  • Serves as the general contact to customers, employees, vendors, and other visitors to answer questions, give information, or direct problems to the appropriate person.
  • Promotes and builds good working relationships with staff of Communities First, Inc. Embraces mission. Works with team; assists whenever and wherever needed/requires.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, with at least four years of relevant experience.

Human Resources certification preferred, i.e., PHR, SPHR, PHR, GPHR, or other recognized certification.
